In the paw tracks of Pelle-No-Tail

Have you heard about the cat without a tail? Pelle Svanslös (Pelle-No-Tail) is Sweden’s most famous cat, and he comes from Uppsala.

Follow Pelle’s life, from the family cat to the little window at Åsgränd, where he lives with his Maja Gräddnos (Cream-Nose). In the neighbourhood,  Mans, Bill and Bull try to make Pelle’s life miserable …

Pelle came by mistake as a little kitten to the city from the countryside. A rat had bitten off his tail, so he was a little bit different than the other cats and was  often exposed to spitefulness from the other cats in the neighbourhood.

What Pelle lacked in tail, he compensated with a very good heart and great wisdom. No wonder the sweet Maja Gräddnos became very fond of Pelle . Pelle-No-Tail is not just a fairy tale. It is also a story of alienation, equal value and the right to be who you are.

During the walks in the classic Uppsala district, the Pelle-No-Tail Guide tells you small known and unknown anecdotes from Pelle’s and the other cats’ lives.

The walk concludes at Pelle’s own playground at Engelska parken.
